Leonard Terry, Retired Farmer, Is Dead At 89
Leonard Walter Terry, 89-year-old retired farmer, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday in the Westbrook Nursing Home, where he had been the past week. He had suffered a stroke April 14. Mr. Terry, who lived tow miles southwest of Linnsburg, had farmed all his life. He was born April 12, 1875 near Chattanooga, Tenn., a son of Charles and Lucy Borden Terry. He was married March 12, 1902 to Clara Bell Everson, who died in 1944. Surviving are two sons, Merle of Crawfordsville and Chester at home; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Keesse of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Earl of south of Crawfordsville, and four grandchildren, James, Diana and Kathy Keesse of Jacksonville and Mrs. Joyce Rasher of Lafayette. A son, Russell, preceded Mr. Terry in death. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Harshbarger Cemetery.
