William Taylor died Sunday morning at his home on Franklin street of dropsy. Mr. Taylor was a soldier in the late war having joined Company D, 28th regiment of the Colored infantry in 1864. He served until July, 1865, when he received an honorable discharge at Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born in Virginia 70 years ago. - thanks to Kim H
