HILLSBORO -- Mrs. Miriam S. Taylor, 76, of Hillsboro died Thursday afternoon in Carmen Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health several years. Mrs. Taylor was a retired employe of Marshal Fields & Co. at Chicago. She retired in 1959 after 35 years with the company. She attended Chicago and Hillsboro schools. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church and CWF. She was born Oct. 6, 1896, at Hillsboro, a daughter of William and Lena Williams Sandell. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Maxine T. Rose of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerome McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Old Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock tonight. --typed by Walt W
