NEW RICHMOND — Mrs. Edith Taylor, 92, of New Richmond died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at Culver Hospital where she had been a patient for seven days. Mrs. Taylor was born Feb. 17, 1870, in the Scotts Prairie area in Fountain County. Her parents were Frank and Sarah Wilson Black. She was married March 25, 1894, to Charles M. Taylor. He died in 1948. Her residence was in New Richmond where she and her husband moved 40 years ago. They originally lived in Hillsboro. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and the New Richmond Chapter 377, Order of Eastern Star. She was educated in Fountain County schools and attended Terre Haute State Normal College. Survivors include two sons, Donald B. Taylor of New Richmond and Charles B. Taylor of Columbus, Ga.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Martha Nelson of Terre Haute. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. John Paul Waye of Darlington will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Taylor who precedes her in death in 1948. They formerly resided near Hillsboro. Mrs Taylor was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and New, Richmond Chapter 377, Order of ;Eastern Star. She attended TerrE Haute State Normal College. Surviving are two sons, Donaic B. of New Richmond and Charley B. of Columbus, 'Ga.; a sister, Mrs Martha Nelson of Terre Haute seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers; and four sisters.
