- Charles B. Taylor, 74, RR 4, Crawfordsville, died at 10 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Veterans State Hospital in West Lafayette.
- He was born in Fountain County, October 30, 1908, the son of Charles M. and Edith Black Taylor. He married Virginia Doris Thompson February 14, 1944 at Fort Benning, Georgia. She died October 2, 1980.
- He had been employed by Lithokrome Company of Columbus, Georgia and Williams Printing Company of Atlanta, Georgia. Serving with the Army in World War II, he was editor of Stars and Stripes Magazines in Tokyo, Japan. He was a member of Atlanta Rotary Club and was active in the American Horse Show Association. He served as an announcer in hunter-jumper horse shows in Georgia. He graduated from New Richmond High School and attended Indiana University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
- Survivors include a son, Charles T. of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two daughters, Tracey Mulvaney of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Edith Pittman of Crawfordsville.
- Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, May 4, at New Richmond Cemetery with Rev. Barry Fitzgerald officiating. Hunt and Sons Funeral Home of Crawfordsville was in charge of arrangements.
