Word has been received here announcing the death of Prof. Asa A. Taylor in Roswell, New Mexico, on last Tuesday, his twenty eighth birthday. Prof. Taylor was a student at Wabash College, graduating in 1898. From here he went to Tusculum College, Tenn., where he filled the chair of biology. His health failing him, he was sent by the college to Cuba in the hope of the climate there benefiting him. Receiving little benefit there, he went to Roswell, N. M., but his health did not improve. He was buried there Wednesday at his request. His home was in Goldsmith, Ind. While here Asa Taylor was a prime favorite both with the student body and especially with the faculty, as he was an exceptionally bright student, having done considerable extra work under Prof. Thomas, in his chose line. His early demise will be universally regretted by all who knew him. - thanks muches to "S" for all her obit work for this site
