The news quickly went the rounds Monday morning of the drowning of little Joan TAYLOR, 20 month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Taylor in her mother’s tub of rinse water. The mother who was washing clothing had stepped outside the house and did not see the little one fall into the tub but discovered the body when she returned. Every effort was made to resuscitate it, even to the use of a pulmotor (sic) from Crawfordsville but in vain. There survives her passing her parents, and a brother, four years old. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. VanBuren Keys at the Freedom Baptist Church at one o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
