Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sharp and Mrs. Jesse Carrington attended the funeral of Robert L. Tapp at the home SE of Ladoga on Monday afternoon. The burial was in charge of Rev HH Elmore, pastor of Freedom Baptist Church of which he was a member. He was born in Mason County, Kentucky June 14, 1872 the son of James and Josephine Tapp, but has lived the greater part of his life in Montgomery County. On March 23, 1899 he married Miss Effie Willoughby, who survives with one daughter, Mrs. Josephine Maxwell of Indianapolis and one son, Lamar Tapp at home. He lived for a number of years in Waveland, being in the employ of old Midland, later Central Indiana as a brakeman and freight conductor. His later years have been spent on the farm where he died after being an invalid for some time. -- kbz

Robert L. Tapp, 65, died at his home northeast of here Saturday morning July 31. He was born June 14, 1872, in Mason County, Kentucky, the son of James and Josephine Tapp. He married Effie Willoughby March 23, 1899. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Josephine Maxwell, of Indianapolis, a son Lamarr Tapp, of Ladoga, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Maxwell, two brothers, five sisters. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at his home. Burial was in Ladoga cemetery. --- thanks to Marilyn Walker

Robert Tapp of Ladoga and Miss Effie Willoughby were married at the ho me of the bride's parents at 8 o'clock last evening, Rev. W.F. Brooks of Ladoga officiating. Only a few of the relatives and immediate friends of t he contracting parties were present. Mr. Tapp is a freight conductor on t he C&SE and his bride is one of the most popular young ladies in Waveland. The Independent extends congratulations --- kbz
