Indianapolis: Dr. Alfonso Lopez Tapia, 35, dentist at Crawfordsville and native of Panama City, Panama, died of Hodgkin’s disease in Long Hospital here Wednesday. He was the son of Gil Tapia Escobar, chief magistrate of the Supreme Court of Panama. Survivors include the widow, a son, two daughters, the parents, a brother, Dr. Fernando Tapia of St. Louis and a sister, Mrs. Laura Aitken of New York City. A graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry, he served as a Capt. in the US Army Medical Corps. He began his practice at Waynetown near Crawfordsville and had practiced dentistry in the latter city six years. The funeral will be Friday afternoon at Crawfordsville. – kbz
