Tague - Rosanna Grimes

Mrs. Caswell A. Tague died at her home southwest of town, about midnight on Wednesday night. Death resulted from double pneumonia. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist Church at 10 this morning in charge of Rev. JE Stone. Interment at Mt. Moriah. Rosanna Grimes was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Hess Grimes and was born in Ripley County October 2, 1846 aged at death 69 years 4 months 6 days. She married Caswell A. Tague in 1863. To them were born 10 children: Morton, John, Mrs. Cordelia Zachary, Allen, Arthur, Hattie, Joseph, Mrs. Jennie Hann, James and Agnes. The last two died in infancy; Hattie in 1895 and Joseph March 24, 1915. There are 38 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Tague has one brother and three sisters living and her mother died two years ago at age 96. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Tague lived 4-5 years in Ripley County and moved to Jefferson County where they remained until 1896 when they came here. Early in life Mrs. Tague joined the Baptist Church, and has always been a faithful and attentive member, rarely being absent unless prevented by illness or family cares. She was a loving mother, a faithful wife and good neighbor. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved husband and children. --kbz
