Waveland Jan 21- Johnson TAGUE, 86, a veteran of the civil war died at the home of his nephew, CA Tague, one mile SW of here Thursday evening at 6. Up to last Monday he was in his usual hale health. At that time he was taken ill with grip which proved fatal because of his advanced age. For the past 20 years he made his home with his nephew, his wife having preceded him in death about 22 years ago. During the civil war he enlisted in the 22nd Ind Infantry serving one year. He was forced to retire because of hill health. He is survived by one son, George C. Tague. Funeral Saturday morning at 11 Rev JE Stone pastor of the Baptist Church will officiate. Burial in Maple Ridge.

Johnson TAGUE, son of Peter and Mary Tague, was b. in Jefferson Co IN Feb 22, 1831 and d. at the home of his nephew, CA Tague, Jan 20, 1916. He was marr. to Martha RAGSDALE Dec 12, 1865. To this union were b. two sons, Frank and George, of Indianapolis. He leaves to mourn his loss 8 grandchildren, one brother, DW Tague of Hanover In and a host of other relatives. But our loss is his gain. While being a member of no Church, he was a Universalist in belief. Mr. T. had made his home with his nephew for 20 years. he was in his usual health up to a few days before his death. Funeral services on Sat Jan 22, 1916, were conducted by Rev. JE Stone of the Baptist Church. Interment in Maple Ridge Cemetery
