WILLIAM HENRY THOMPSON

William Henry THOMPSON 84 died at the home of his daughter,   Ditha Myers of Linnsburg at 3:45 o'clock Sunday morning a victim   of complications. He had been ill 7 weeks. Mr. Thompson was born   on Feb 2, 1833 in Clinton County OH the son of James and Ellen   Thompson. on Dec 27, 1863 he was married to Caroline A. Florea   who died April 15, 1900.

Mr. Thompson was a veteran of the Civil   War and belonged to GAR. He served with the 1st Ohio Volunteer   Heavy Artillery. He belonged to the Old Christian Church at Mace   and was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge. He is survived by 4   children: Harry J of Custer, Oh; Mrs. Ela Faust and Mrs. Flora   Crain of Mace and Ditha Myers of Linnsburg. 11 grandchildren,   several greats and one brother, Cyrus Thompson of near Mace also   survive. The funeral will be held from Mace Methodist Church 2   o'clock Tuesday with Rev. SG Smith of Ladoga in charge. - transcribed by kbz
