Waynetown -- Ray D. Thompson, 77, died suddenly Friday night in his Waynetown home after suffering a heart attack. He was born May 29, 1893, near Waynetown to John F. and Martha Simms Thompson. On Jan 28, 1916 he married Hazel Mullen at Crawfordsville. Mr. Thompson was a past master and a 50-year member of the Waynetown masonic Lodge No. 302; Waynetown Chapter NO. 345, Order of Eastern Star; Knights Templar at Crawfordsville; Waynetown Merchants Association and Waynetown United Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Wayne Township Farm Bureau. Mr. Thompson graduated from Waynetown HS. He was a farmer int he community all his life. Surviving are his widow and six cousins. Services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Monday by Rev. Kenneth Brock in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - transcribed by kbz
