Thompson - James Alvin

James Alvin [Thompson], third son of Aaron and Sophia THOMPSON was b. May 2, 1858. His age being 68 years 6 months and 10 days. Never was there a boy more devoted to his father and mother than Al Thompson, as he was commonly called. He was a lover of music, and took a great interest in the uplift of the town, and was always ready to help the needy but did it in a very quiet way. He was a member of the order of Knights of Pythias. His father, mother and two brothers, William and Edgar preceded him in death. He passed away Nov 11th, at 3 o'clock in the morning. He leaves to mourn their loss, one sister, Mrs. Ben HIMES, a nieces, Mrs. Ben FALL of Raccoon and a great niece, Mildred Fall, whom he loved and idolized very dearly. - transcribed by kbz
