Ernest S. Taylor, 66 year old former Montgomery County resident died
suddenly Friday night at his home in Chicago, Ill where he had resided
many years. He owned and managed Monroe Laboratories Inc in Chicago. He
served with the US Army during WWII and was a member of Garfield
Christian Church. Born Feb 3 1900 in Tippecanoe County, he was a son of
Cornelius W. and Emma Jane Crouch Taylor. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Joanne Smith of Rt 1, a son - in - law, Billy E. Smith of Rt 1, a
brother Oscar of Crawfordsville three sisters, Miss marie Taylor and
Mrs. Howard Wilkinson both of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ernest Wilkinson
of Lafayette; a grandson, Sammy and two granddaughters, Linda and Sandy.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son
Funeral Home here with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial will be in
Odd Fellows Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may pay their respects at
the funeral home after noon Monday.
