William Switzer, member of one of the best known families in the Veedersburg section, was found dead at his residence in the northeast part of the city, Saturday evening. He had been dead several hours when the body was discovered by neighbors who went in the house when he failed to answer their calls. Coroner Clifford Crumley was called and found that he had died from natural causes. He had been in declining health recently. For many years Mr. Switzer operated a plumbing and pump repair shop in Veedersburg. He finally gave up the business and iw as carried on by his son, Martin Switzer. Mr. Switzer was born in Veedersburg, Oct 22, 1866, the son of John and Katherine Coffin Switzer. He spent his entire life time in the respective vicinity. He was married to Eva Berry, who passed away several years ago. There are surviving; one son, Martin, Veedersburg; one sister, Mrs. Anna Grigson, San Francisco, California; and one brother Monte Switzer, Linden, Indiana. There are also four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Fishero Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Howard officiating. Burial was a Rockfield cemetery.
