Becoming suddenly ill Monday night with a strange affliction that caused him to be delicious and unconscious, William Switzer suffered through Wed & Thurs until death finally came to him at one this morning. Death resulted from inflammation of the kidneys and uremic poisoning. The illness followed a case of the grip which the young man did not consider serious. Mr. Switzer was 24 years old and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Switzer of northwest of the city. He had been engaged to work for the winter at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ball near the Covington Hill and it was there that he became suddenly ill and died. His parents were present when the unusual sickness terminated in their son's unexpected death. Although the young man's condition was regarded as serious no fear was entertained in the beginning that it would prove fatal. The parents are heart broken and the many friends of the young man are grived at the sad outcome of the illness. Mr. Switzer was well known in the neighborhood where he lived and in this city. He was enjoying robust health until last week. - kbz
