Waynetown - Gertrude Switzer, 64, of Lafayette, a native of Waynetown died Saturday morning in Home Hospital at Lafayette where she had been a patient 4 days. She was a member of Christian union Church. She was born here on July 30, 1909, a daughter of James and Hettie Swank Humphreys. She was educated in the Waynetown and Crawfordsville schools. SHe married Dallas Switzer at Crawfordsville on Jan 29, 1927. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, Donald of Mesquite, TX; Carroll Rex and Richard of Lafayette and Gleyre of Bellville, IL; a brother, Virgil Humphreys of Long Beach, Calif; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Edon of Thorntown; Mrs. Ruth Mahorney and Mrs. Violet Mae Rance, both of Adams, 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. James Chase officiating; burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery - kbz

Mrs. Dallas Switzer
Mrs. Gertrude Switzer, 64, of 1325 S. 24th St., died at 8 a.m. Saturday in Home Hospital where she was admitted four days ago. Mrs. Switzer, a native of the Waynetown area, was educated in the Waynetown and Crawfordsville schools. In 1927 she was married to Dallas Switzer, who survives. She was a member of the Christian Union Church. Surviving with the husband are four sons, Donald of Mesquite, Tex., Carrol Rex and Richard Sr., both of Lafayette, and Gleyne of Belleville, Ill.; one brother, Virgil Humphryes of Long Beach , Calif.; and three sisters, Mrs. Inez Edon of Thorntown, Mrs. Ruth Mahorney and Violet Mae Rance, both of Adams.
