Waynetown - Dallas M. Switzer, 78, 1201 S. 9th Street, Lafayette, a former resident of Waynetown, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He was a meat cutter by trade. He was a member of the Greenbush Baptist Church at Lafayette and was graduated in 1922 from Waynetown HS. Born near Waynetown April 17, 1904, he was a son of James E. and Hanna Ball Switzer. He married in Jan 1927 Gertrude Humphreys. She preceded him in death in November 1973. He is survived by 4 sons, Donald of Mesquite, TX; Rex and Richard, of Lafayette and Gleyre of Bellville, Ill; a brother, Clifford of Lafayette; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lela Barnett of Waynetown; Mrs. Ethel Schenck of Spencer and Mrs. Pauline Quillin of Crawfordsville; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, William, Wallace, Charles, Orville and Russell and a sister, Lora. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. James Chase officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic.
