Waynetown -- Clifford N. Switzer, 84, a resident of Rockville and former resident of West Point community died at 11:10 p.m. Thursday in Lee Alan Bryant Nursing Home at Rockville. He was a retired farmer from the Farmer's Institute area of West Point. He attended the Quaker Church in that area. Mr. Switzer attended Waynetown HS. He was born June 24, 1899, near Waynetown a son of James E. and Hanna Ball Switzer. He was married to Alice Florence Cooper of Hillsboro on Aug 6, 1921. She died July 5, 1976. Surviving are two sons, L. James of Grand Rapid Mich; and Morris Eugene of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. John (Lois) Foltz of Rockville, with whom he made his home for the past 7 years; three sisters, Mrs. Lela Barnett of Waynetown, Mrs. Ethel Schenck of Spencer and Mrs. Pauline Quillin of Crawfordsville; 5 grandchildren; six greats. There are six brothers deceased. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Donald Nead officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 3-8 p.m. Sunday. - kbz
