Ladoga - Clarence W. Switzer, 79, a Ladoga resident died at 10:45 p.m. at Lane Home in Crawfordsville where he had been living the past two years. Mr. Switzer was a lifelong farmer in Montgomery County. He had lived in and around Ladoga for 25 years. He served with the US Army in France in WWI and was educated in the Waynetown schools. He was born Jan 2, 1892 near Waynetown, son of Albert and Florence White Switzer. Sept 3, 1917, he married Hazel Davis of Waynetown; she survives. Other survivors include a son, Francis of New Richmond; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin French of Ladoga; a brother, Clyde of Rockville; 7 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter. Services for Mr. Switzer will be Thursday 2 p.m. at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
