Mrs. Polly Swank, the aged mother of Ben Swank, died Tuesday at her home in Coal Creek Township. The funeral occurred Wednesday.

Mrs. Mary A. Swank, relict of the late Phillip Swank, and mother of Ben Swank, died Wednesday at 11 o’clock, aged 82 years. She had been a resident of this township for more than seventy years.

Died on Feb. 3, Aunt Polly Swank, wife of Phillip Swank, who departed this life 18 years ago. Mrs. Swank united with the Christian Church some 50 years ago. She was the mother of ten children, six of whom survive her. Her age was 79 years, two months and two days. The funeral was conducted by Elder Powell on the 4th and the remains were laid to rest at Oakland Cemetery. She leaves many friends to mourn her loss.
