The funeral of Edward J. Swank, the old soldier who was found dead in his bed Friday morning was held this afternoon and the body was taken to Oakland cemetery, a mile north of Wingate for burial. Mr. Swank was found dead by Walter Johnson, his nephew, who came into town in the morning to call  upon Mr. Swank, whom he knew was ill.  Mr. Swank was a member of Company E, 19th Indiana Infantry during the Civil War.
