Kingman - Dr. Fred Swaim, 82, a former resident of Kingman, died Sunday (Aug 19) at Louisville, Ky. Dr. Swaim was a retired veterinarian. He was a veteran of WWI and member of Friends Church, Tangier. He was born Sept 29, 1890 at Tangier, son of William and Asenath Harvey Swaim. Surviving are a son, Maxwell of Louisville, a sister, Mrs. Bernice Thombaugh of Clinton; two step grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters and two brothers. Services for Mr. Swaim will be at 2 p.m Thursday in Woodrow Funeral Home at Kingman Rev. Ruth Isaacs officiating. Burial in Rush Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday - kbz
