Mrs. Ruth C. Sutton, 76, of 203 W. English, died at 8:30 p.m. yesterday (Oct. 29, 1968) in Lake View Memorial where she had been a patient since Oct. 14. Born Feb. 5, 1892, in Fountain County, Ind., near Hillsboro, she was a daughter of Jacob and Mary Kerr Furr. She had lived in Danville 44 years. She was married July 27, 1921, at Veedersburg, Ind., to Paul H. Sutton, who preceded her in death March 22, 1947. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Zelma) Surnell of Catlin; a brother, Freeman Furr of Pekin, Ill.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a brother. Mrs. Sutton was a former dietician for 15 years at the Vermilion County Tuberculosis Hospital. She was a member of the Central Christian Church, the Builders Sunday School Class, the CWF of the church and Iris Chapter 307, Order of Eastern Star. Her hobbies were sewing and church work. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe C. Detamore will officiate. Burial will be in the Waynetown, Ind., Masonic Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home 7-9 tonight and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. The family requests memorials be in the form of contributions to the Central Christian Church Memorial Fund. --typed by Walt W
