Mrs. Drussila SURBER, 61, RFD 1, Russellville, injured in a head-on automobile accident west of Roachdale in Putnam County, Feb 26, died Friday morning at Culver hospital where she had been a patient since the crash. Mrs. Surber was injured fatally when an automobile, driven by her husband, Thomas Surber, 63, collided with a car, driven by George Waldon of Greencastle. She was brought to Culver where an examination revealed severe chest injuries. Mr. Suber and Mr. Waldon also were injured in the accident. Mr. Surber was brought to Culver Hospital but was dismissed after receiving treatment. Mr. Waldon was taken to the Putnam County hospital in Greencastle. He was reported to have sustained chest injuries, lacerations and a possible hip fracture. Mrs. Surber was born Jan 27, 1888, in Pulaski Co KY the daughter of Noah and Miranda Hubbard. She married Thomas Surber March 31, 1907. Survivors include the husband, who was also injured in the accident; a son, Earl Surber and a daughter, Mrs. Brent Poynter, 4 grandchildren, 3 brothers, charles Hubbard, Shoppy Hubbard and WIlliam Hubbard and one sister, Mrs. Rachel VanHook. Funeral services will be held at the Russellville Christian Church of which Mrs. Surber was a member at 10:30 a. m. Monday, Rev. Ralph Dale Spencer will be in charge assisted by Rev. EW Fitch. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery south of Russellville. Friends may call at the familyr esidence south of Russellville after 4 p. m. Saturday.
