Herschel G. Sunderman, 60, of CMR 9, died suddenly about 1 a.m. Wednesday while being taken by ambulance from his home on the Country Club Road to Culver Hospital. Born Jan. 11, 1906, in Huntingburg, Ind., he was the son of Ben and Helen Krueger Sunderman. He was first married to Olive Manges. She preceded him in death in 1935. He married Madge Brentlinger Nov. 19, 1939, in Covington, Ind. Mrs. Sunderman is a teacher at Nicholson School in Crawfordsville. They began housekeeping in Mayview, Ill., moving to Elmdale, Ind., in 1942 where he operated a farm. In 1953 they moved to Crawfordsville. Mr. Sunderman was employed at Dellekamp's Department Store for six years and since 1960 was associated with Metco Inc. in the city. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. He was also a member of the local Elks and Eagles lodges. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin. Survivors in addition to the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Dallas Shull of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Richard Hillenburg of Ft. Wayne; four granddaughters, Janolyn Shull, Cheree, Vicki and Lynn Hillenburg; four brothers, Everett of Sidney, Ill., Kenneth and Chester of Danville, Ill., and Glenn of Waukegan, Ill., and three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Crawford of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Nettie Lewis of Anderson, Ind., and Mrs. Ferne Manges of Danville, Ill. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bright Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral services for Herschel G. Sunderman, who died early Wednesday, are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the Bright Funeral Home. Rev. Keith S. Carlile will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
