ROMNEY ---- Mrs. Mabel M. Summers, 94, of Rt. 1, Romney died at 3:45 p. m. Sunday in Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient for seven years. She had resided at Romney since 1928. She was a member of the Eminence Christian Church, Romney Extension Club and the WSCS of Romney. Born in Putnam County on March 7, 1880, she was a daughter of M. F. and Rose Scott Dorsett. She married Thomas H. Summers at Greencastle on Nov. 3, 1898. He died Sept. 8, 1965. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Howard Newton of Romney, Mrs. Olive Hoke of Crawfordsville and Mrs. H. T. McPhetridge of Boca Raton, Fla.; a son, Raymond F. of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Larkin of Cloverdale and Mrs. Elizabeth Stierwalt of Eminence; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Martin, on May 13, 1974. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday in Helms Funeral Chapel at Linden with the Rev. Howard F. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at Romney. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p. m. Tuesday. ---typed by Walt W
