GESSIE – Perry Thomas Sullivan, 84, a Gessie resident most of his life, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Colonial Manor Nursing Home at Danville, Ill. For many years Mr. Sullivan was employed in the lumber business at Danville, Ill., and in 1953 he retired from the Elliott Lumber Co. there. He was born July 18, 1888, at Mt. Vernon, Ill., a son of George and Ida Cook Sullivan. He was married Nov. 21, 1921, to Florence Ethel Collom, who died Aug. 20, 1965. Survivors include a son, Gerald of near Danville, Illinois.; two daughters, Mrs. Marietta Brewer of Rt. 1, Perrysville, and Mrs. Deloris LaFoe of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Iva Robinson of Cudahy, Calif., Mrs. Pearl Moore of Sherrill, Ark., and Mrs. Nora Bumpus of Linoke, Ark.; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, and a great- granddaughter. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home at Covington, with Rev. Henry Karg officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at Danville, Ill.
