Surface - Elizabeth

Last night at 10 o'clock, Mrs. Elizabeth SURFACE
died at her home south of the city in the 76th year of her age. The
funeral will be conducted tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. She came to
this county from VA in 1826 with her husband and entered land 3 miles
south of Crawfordsville where they have lived ever since. Rev. George
Surface died 5 or 6 years ago (note from typist, KZ died 27 Feb 1879
buried Lutheran Cemetery, Union Twp, Montgomery Co IN). He was a minister
of the United Brethren Church and his wife was one of the good Mothers
in Israel.
