Stump - Elizabeth
Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal Friday, 22 January 1892
The mortal remains of Mrs. Elizabeth Stump were laid to rest yesterday, the funeral occurring from the residence of her daughter, west of the city. Mrs. Stump at the hour of her death was 97 years of age and until within a week or so of her demise she was a remarkably active and healthful old lady. Some weeks ago, in fact, The Journal had quite an account of her and it was then thought she would live several years. She had knit sixteen pair of stockings this winter and in other ways demonstrated that she seemed good for quite a lease of life. Mrs. Stump was one of the pioneers of this county and leaves quite a number of descendants, all good and worthy people. -s
