Paul R. Strain, 48 resident of Rt. 7, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday at his home after suffering a heart attack. He was born July 22, 1918, a son of Paul R. and Viola Caldwell Strain. Mr. Strain was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alamo, Alamo No. 144 Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite at Lafayette, Shriners at Indianapolis, Gatlin Gun Club of Indianapolis, Donnelley Club and the Fraternal Order of Police. A graduate of Alamo High School, he worked in the art department at R. R. Donnelley and Sons 27 years. Surviving are his parents; three sons, David of Fowler, Gregory of Crawfordsville and Ronald of Danville, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Mary E. Brown of Detroit. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Powers Funeral Home with Rev. Milo Riggs officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. – jlr
