HILLSBORO -- Mrs. Jennie L. Stonecipher, 86, died Sunday night in St. Joseph Hospital at Kokomo. A former Hillsboro resident, she had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Fern Clark of Walton. She was born June 11, 1887, at Corydon, a daughter of Thomas Henry and Belle Smith. She married Maurice Stonecipher Aug. 21, 1910. He died April 28, 1960. Survivors in addition to Mrs. Clark include two other daughters, Mrs. Irwin (Ruth) Sutton of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Mrs. Dale (Ruby) Shideler of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Cecil of Crawfordsville; a brother, Cecil Smith of New Albany; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home here with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Jennie L. Stonecipher, 86, of Walton, formerly of Hillsboro, died Sunday (April 14, 1974) at Kokomo Hospital. Born June 11, 1887, in Corydon, she was the daughter of Thomas Henry and Belle Smith. She was married Aug. 21, 1910, in Corydon to Maurice Stonecipher, who died April 28, 1960. She attended school in Harrison County and was a member of the non-denominational organization. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Fern) Clark of Walton, Mrs. Erwin (Ruth) Sutton of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Mrs. Dale (Ruby) Shideler of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Cecil of Crawfordsville; a brother, Cecil Smith of New Albany; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
The body was returned to the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home for services at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks so very much to “S”
