Robert L. Stonebraker, 90, formerly of 910 Park Ave, Attica died at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday March 10, 1993 in Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica. He had been a patient there one year. Mr. Stonebraker retired from Alcoa in Lafayette where he was a tool and die maker and machinist several years. Born NOv 27, 1902, near Wingate he graduated from Wingate HS in 1924. He lived most of his life in Attica and Wingate and lived in Thomaston, GA before returning to Attica in March 1991. He married Susie All May 7, 1925 in Attica. She died May 27, 1974. On March 23, 1977 in Thomaston, he married Jewel Pate. She is in a nursing home in Foley, Ga. Mr. Stonebraker enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, nursing work and woodwork. He made many clocks and other wood products, giving many of them to his friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Thomaston. Survivors include four sons, William and John both of Attica, Thomas and Frank both of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Sue Ann) Victory of Attica; a step son James Earl Pate of Lillian, Ala; 17 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James and two daughters, Carolyn and Mary Margaret. Visitation was Friday at Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Service in Maus Chapel Saturday with Rev. George Weister officiating. Interment at Oakland Cemetery, Elmdale, near Wingate.
