Alamo - Lex Stonebraker, 83 of Alamo died at 8 a.m. Monday in his home. He was a paper hanger and decorator and lived all his life in this community. He was a veteran of WWI and was educated in Alamo schools. Born Nov 14, 1890, at Alamo, he was a son of James and Kathryn Tucker Stonebraker. He married April 12, 1919 to Sylvia Rivers of Judson. Survivors include the widow; five sons, James of Marshall, Donald of Linden, Herschel and Robert of Alamo and Lex Jr of Darlington; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley West of Crawfordsville; 27 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; a daughter, Kathryn; a grandson, two sisters and a brother. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Hugh Dooley officiating. Burial will be in Alamo Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
