Alamo - Claude Stonebraker, 92, of Alamo died early Tuesday morning at Carmen Nursing Home, Crawfordsville where he had been a patient the past six months. Mr. Stonebraker, was a carpenter by occupation and was born and spent his entire life in the Alamo area. Born Jan 9, 1878, he was the son of David and Emma Stonebraker. He was educated in the Alamo schools. He married Lena Opperman. She preceded him in death in 1949. Mr. Stonebraker attended the Alamo Christian church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donald C (Lois) Sebree of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Mrs. Lois Ann Johnson of Detroit, Michigan and Donald James Sebree of Indianapolis and two great granddaughters. In addition to his wife, Mr. Sebree (sic) was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown, Rev. John R. Servies will officiate. Burial will be in Alamo Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 pm. Wednesday. - kbz
