Stockdale - Rex

Rex Stockdale, 50,a life long and well known farmer south of New Liberty, died Thursday monring at his home after several years of ill health. His condition became more serious last July since which he had gradually declined. Mr. Stockdale was born in the home community May 23, 1901, the son of George and Ella Stockdale, and had spent his life in that area. He was married in 1923 to Estle Spragg of the Wallace community. Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Clements of Crawfordsville; five brothers, Charles, Guy and Paul of Veedersburg Rt; Arthur of Danville, Ill; and two sisters, Mrs.Fannie Hoy of Urbana, Ill; and Mrs. Vereta Coats of south of Veedersburg. The daughter, Mrs. Clements, remains in the Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis, after being stircken with infantile paralysis a few months ago.- kbz
