Jeff Stockdale, 59, a farmer most of his life, died at 6:45 o'clock Mond ay morning of a heart ailment at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. He h ad been ill since Sunday. Born March 23, 1891, in Fountain County, Mr. Stockdale was the son of George and Elinora Booe Stockdale. He married Mamie Leonard at Veedersburg Dec 4,1912. He was a member of the Alamo Christi an Church. Surviving are the widow; two sons, James R. Stockdale of Crawfordsville and Max L. Stockdale, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Elinora Melvin of Crawfordsville; six brothers; Charles, Rex, Paul and Guy of near Veedersburg; Arthur of Danville Ill and Ralph of C'ville; two sisters, Mrs. Vereta Coates of Veedersburg; and Mrs. Fanny Hoy of Urbana, Illinois and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wed afternoon at the family home of Dr HM Bounnell farm one mile south of here. Rev. John R. Servies will be the officiating minister, with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery - kbz
