Stump - Hannah Surface
Source: Rossville Press, Rossville, Vermillion County, IL
The death of Mrs. George Stump on Tuesday morning came as a great
surprise to all her many friends. She suffered a paralytic stroke about a
year ago and had been in poor health since that time, but though her
health was precarious the end was unexpected and very sudden. Mrs. Stump
was born in Boone county, Indiana, May 29, 1860. Besides her husband
and many friends she leaves the following children to mourn her sudden
death: Bertha Rife, of Alvin; Maud Ervin, of Hammond, Ind.; Edith and
John, residing here; Ethel of Hoopeston [Vermillion Co. Illinois];
Mable, Harry, Harold, Perry and Walter, at home. The funeral will be
held at the U. B. Church Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. J. M.
Tuggle, former pastor of the church, of which Mrs. Stump was a
consistent member will have charge of the service. Interment will be in
the Rossville cemetery. -- obituary contributed
