Glenn Stewart, 86, of 413 Wilson Ave., retired from Crawfordsville Cleaners, died in his home Thursday after a four-month illness. Mr. Stewart moved to Crawfordsville in 1924 and operated a restaurant and dry cleaning business. He was born July 10, 1888, at Paris, Ill., a son of Perry and Etta Guthrie Stewart. He was married to Julia Kalweit on Aug. 5, 1946, at Paris. Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. William (Rita) Locker and Mrs. Randal (Kay) Carver, of Crawfordsville, a sister, Mrs. Boyd Mattingly of Norman, Okla., and a son and daughter by a previous marriage in California. Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday in Oak Hill, Cemetery with the Rev. Leland Brett officiating. There will be no calling hours at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. – jlr
