Ladoga - Mrs. Deleta M. Stewart, 67, of Rt. 1, Ladoga, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday in Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle after an illness of six months. A daughter of Arthur and Freedona Mercer Rains, she was born Feb. 12, 1903 near Ladoga. She was a graduate of Ladoga High School, in 1920, attended Baker's College in Indianapolis and taught school in Montgomery County for two years. She married Eddie Stewart on Nov. 30, 1922. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Parkersburg Christian Church Ladies Aid and a charter member of the Scott Township Home Demonstration Club. Surviving are her husband; a son, Keith of Plymouth; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Lewis of Chicago; six grandchildren; a brother, Russell Rains of New Market, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Everson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Paul Wilson of near New Market. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Reeves Funeral Home in New Market with Rev. Thomas Crafton officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home.
