VEEDERSBURG — Miss Vora Sterns, 82-year-old retired school teacher, died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She was hospitalized after suffering a stroke Wednesday at her home. Born Aug. 18, 1875, near Hillsboro, she was the daughter of George W. and Nancy Kerr Sterns. Miss Sterns had lived in Veedersburg since 1895. She taught in the Veedersburg Grade Schools for many years. Miss Sterns was a member of the First Christian Church. Surviving are three nephews, Lawrence Sterns of Indianapolis, Esten Sterns of St. Louis, Mo. and George W. Sterns of Denver, Colo. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church with Rev. George Mitchell officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may call at the Fishero Funeral Home. --typed by Walt W
