A special from Tipton to the Indianapolis News on Wednesday says:
The Rev. Thomas A. Steele, a prominent Presbyterian minister of this place, died very suddenly last night at the home of his son-in-law, Dr. C. P. Curtis. Mr. Steele, with other friends, spent the evening at the home of Geo. M. Shortle, and was jovial and apparently in good health. After he returned he complained of not feeling well. He retired, and a physician was called, only to find him dying of heart failure. The deceased was about 55 years old.
Mr. Steele was several years ago a resident of this place and preached at Mace and Shannondale. Himself, his wife and daughter, Nettie, have all died since they left here. Interment was made at Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati.
