Hillsboro Jan 23 - Funeral rites of Mrs. Mary E. Starnes, widow of Charles Starnes who died at her home southeast of Hillsboro were held from the Hillsboro Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. Guy E. Tremaine of Wesley conducted the service and Mrs. Lucille Parnell, Mrs. Lena Wood, George McBroom and Charles R. Livengood accompanied by Mrs. Bernice Beauchamp sang What a Friend We have in Jesus and In the Sweet Bye and Bye, Mrs. Parnell sang as a solo, The City Four Square. The pall bearers were Grover Crowder; Marion Cooper; Lawrence Maudlin; Harry and Ona Nickle and Ferris Starnes. The flower bearers were Crete Keeling, Esta Fenders, Patsy Dwiggins, Jimmy Dick Bounnell and Betsy Starnes. Burial was in Waynetown MasoniC cemetery.
