Faris "Jack" Starnes, Jr. of Wallace, age 59, died Thursday evening Nov 6 (1980) in Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill. He suffered a heart attack while visiting a daughter. He was born near Wallace September 8, 1921, the son of Faris and Susie Sanders Starnes. On December 8, 1946 he married Virginia Bever, who survives. A member of Freedom Christian Church and Wallace Masonic Lodge, he had retired after owning and operating the Yeddo Grain Compnay for more than 28 years. He was a Navy Vet of WWII. A 1939 graduate of Wallace HS, he had attended Indiana University. Also surviving are his mother of Kingman; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Montgomery of Palatine, Ill and Mrs. Penny Sowers of Wallace; a son, Thomas Wayne at home; a brother, Carl of Crawfordsville and a granddaughter. Funeral services were held Monday morning at Thomas Funeral Home in Wayentown with Rev. Hugh Dooley officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery
