Covington - Eston Starkey, 49, of Covington died Monday in VA Hospital, Danville, Ill. He had been a patient there two weeks and ill for two years. He and his father operated the Oldsmobile automobile agency here from 1946-1958. Mr. Starkey was a veteran of WWII. Born Nov 28, 1923, at Logansport, he was the son of William E. and Anna Maria Frank Starkey. He was married to Clista Marcella (Sue) Reynolds. She survives. He was preceded in death by his father who died June 16. Other survivors include his mother who resides at Covington; a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Sandy) Frey of Evansville; four sons, Bruce of Madisonville, KY; Richard, Tim and Terry all of Covington; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Betty Doreen Lehmen and Mrs. Juanita Marie Tripp of McGill, Nev, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here with Rev. Jerry Kissinger officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Military services will be conducted at the cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
