Stallard, Jacob (Rev)

Rev. Jacob M. Stallard, a veteran Methodist preacher of the Northwest Indiana Conference, died in Lafayette on Sunday afternoon, aged 80 years. He began his ministry in this state in 1835 and continued actively in the work until 1875 when he was placed on the superannuated list, since which time he has resided in Lafayette. He will be remembered by all the older Methodists as a pulpit orator of more than ordinary ability and zealous in his work.
