Staley - Minnie Logan

Lebanon -- Oct 15 -- Mrs. Minnie Ellen Staley died at the home of her brother, John Logan in Advance, her demise being due to a complication of diseases. She had been ailing four years. She came to this county from her home in Milan, Kansas Oct 3 for a visit. She was taken seriously ill last Saturday. Mrs. Staley was 39 years, 3 months 24 days old. She was born in Boone County, June 19, 1875. She moved from there to Kansas about 17 years ago. She was married in November 1893 to George Staley. The children are: Stella; Harvey; Clyde; Claude; Archie; Cecil; Myrtle; Willie and Rose. The brothers and sisters living are: John; Charles and Joel C. Logan; Rosa Swails; Fannie Vangorder and Portia Leet. She was a member of the ME Church at Milan. Short funeral services were held at an early hour this morning at the home of John Logan, Advance. The body was brought here and short services were held at the residence of John Swails at 3:30 today, Rev. KW Robbins officiating. The body will be shipped to Milan, Kansas on the early morning Big Four train Thursday for burial. -- kbz
