Vernon Leroy Stephens, 75, Crawfordsville, died 12:01 p.m.
Tuesday in Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Stephens was a self-employed paper decorator and painter.
He served in the Korean War.
He was born April 2, 1928, at Eldorado, Mo., to Roy and Gladys
Davis Stephens. He married Nancy Priebe on June 18, 1992. She
survives.
Also surviving are a son, Vernon L. Jr., Chandler, Ariz.;
three daughters, Diana Snow, Colorado Springs, Colo., Cindy
Spencer, Mesa, Ariz., and Sheila Mullins, Wichita, Kan.; a
stepdaughter, Jerilyn Page O'Conner, Crawfordsville; a brother,
Donald Ray, California; three sisters, Doris Smith, Peggy Hale
and Imogene Owens, all of Eldorado Springs, Mo.; and several
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A brother, Floyd, and a sister, June Ann West, are
deceased.
Cremation is scheduled. There will be no services.
Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
