ROCKVILLE, Ind. (CNS) – Harry A. Spurr, 84, of Rockville, died at 8 a.m. yesterday (Oct. 13, 1969) at the Howard Avenue Nursing Home. He had been a patient there for six years. Born Sept. 6, 1885, in Parke County, he was the son of John and Sarah Thomas Spurr. He was married Dec. 23. 1911, to Cora A. Lancaster, who died April 9, 1930. Mr. Spurr was a retired farmer and a former resident of Jackson Township. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Lancaster of Greencastle, Mrs. Ora Wagle of Danville, Ind., Route 1 and Mrs. Robert Crews of Brazil Route 5; three sons, Keith of Cicero, Ind., James of Greencastle and Harry J. of Marshall; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Moxin of Brazil; 20 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Tudor Funeral Home in Rockville. The Rev. Dale Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Calcutta Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
